Trent Clarke Wins The Sydney Championship Turbo Event
Posted On August 4, 2018
Trent Clarke, the 31-placed on star poker deep stack event in April, outlasted a field of 231 runners down the Sydney championship 2018 event; Limit Hold’em Turbo. His victory was even more awe-inspiring due to the fact that he nursed a short stack for the larger part of the game. He told a news team that due to the short stack he knew he had to be more aggressive and agile and due to his planned strategies he got the Sydney championship title on him.
Everyone who saw the final round agrees it was a tough one. Regular Star Poker Tournament Player Colin Tran was unlucky to get out of the game. In the final table also was Jarrod Thatcher, who is known as the Turbo Specialist after being victorious in many turbo events from the past year including the prestigious WSOP Sydney Turbo in December.
Mele Poullvaati definitely gave him a very tough competition. She was heads-up for the title, but ultimately bowed out in second place for a$14, 277 ($10,587). She could have done better in heads-up play. Entering to the heads-up battle, Poulivatti acquired a 3:1 but then fate turned as he lost all the vital all – ins in a row, and ultimately finished in the second place.
Clarke made it all the way to the first place in this one – day event by outwitting the remaining players and this earned him the first place prize, which amounted to the prize money of a$23, 115 along with the most prestigious trophy of the Sydney Championships. This victory is a very prominent one and is sure to fill him with the much – needed confidence and guts to take part in the live poker tournaments in the future. He first won a cash prize when he entered in the Deep Stack Series Main Event held during the April of this year.
